Are all your ingredients organic?Updated 8 months ago

The short answer is no... but hear us out!

We focus on sourcing the highest quality ingredients produced to high ethical standards.  Hence we use organic ingredients where we can - e.g. all our dairy ingredients are certified organic.

Wherever possible we source from small local British producers who, like us, are passionate about their craft.

For example the organic farms we use are all within 12 miles of the dairy and the cows graze for over half the year on pasture. (On most of the farms, the cows even get to choose when they are milked!)

We proudly source our wildflower honey from Salisbury Plain and Essex Borage...but because of the wild nature of bees - they feed on the flowers they find - it cannot be called 'organic' - indeed UK 'organic' honey usually comes from places like Zambia where there are no GM crops...

However while the chocolate we use is of very high quality, and it is very important to us that it is sustainably sourced, it has not been certified organic.  This means that overall our chocolates would not be classed as organic.
