What do you mean by 'fresh' chocolates?Updated 8 months ago
Typically, the chocolate you find in your local supermarket or chocolate shop can be eaten a year or more after it’s made – because it’s made with dried milk and artificial preservatives to extend its shelf-life.
Everyone still loves it – because that’s what we know.
But when we started Russell and Atwell, we set out to make chocolates that take taste and texture to the next level, by using a few simple, fresh, natural ingredients, replacing the palm oil with fresh organic cream – and adding absolutely no artificial preservatives, flavours or colours. We believe this makes them taste richer and melt-in-the-mouth sublime – and no claggy mouth feel afterwards!
Because they are fresh, our chocolates need to be kept chilled in the fridge, to maintain the full authentic flavours of our fine ingredients. These are sourced wherever possible from artisan British producers, who - like us - are passionate about taste. And this is the real taste of chocolate!
